Process Description

Material tests are a special case, as often there is no transfer of goods from the testing laboratory back to the customer. Instead, it is often common practice that test specimens from destructive materials testing are archived in the laboratory. In this case there is no relation between a label on the shipped goods and the test certificate. Nevertheless, it is recommended to label the samples in such a way that a link to the test certificate is possible via the UUID.

The organisation which requests material tests has the role requestor. Material
test data will be transferred digitally from the testing lab to the requestor
using the appropriate  eCoC level and sub-schema. Advanced data schemata for plasticity, damage, fatigue, etc. are available on request.
